Whenever we think of chef’s uniform, a white double breasted coat comes in mind. The uniform of chefs needs no explanation for identification as it has formed a stagnant image that anyone can put in plain words. So, should we consider that chefs have no choice and that they cannot escape from their same old fashioned, dull and unappealing outfit which is known as “chef’s uniform”? Of course not.

It is not necessarily required that you have to stick to white color, just because it is a symbol of cook’s cloth. There are choices for off-white, grey or navy blue in coats. Many even prefer cherry color to make the food stains unnoticeable. Similarly, there are choices for trousers, like checkered style or simply black and white strips. When styles for chefs uniforms are designed, the comfort and ease is given top priority, because there is no point of wearing a uniform that restrict you perform your tasks.
